The Lizard is officially one year old!!! Thoughts?

I am personally curious on what you think of your Lizard, how it's held up this past year, and your thoughts on support.
I'm sure plenty of you are pissy about the lack of standalone support, other than that I'm happy as hell with my Lizard. How about you?

Slim LT 3.0 is out...but no fileset. So, read this if you don't want to wait for Ma...

IDK how so many people depend on the filesets, you don't need them to make the CFW. Yes, the fileset is an awesome idea and makes the job easier and a tad bit quicker, but you don't need to depend on them. I spend a lot of time on IRC patrol for the Lizard and myself and all the other full timers grow very tired of being asked "when's the fileset come out?"
So, I'm gonna attempt to at least lower the amount of those questions hopefully you all read this
I'm gonna explain a fileset real quick in case you don't know what it is. It's just a container, Max takes all the current OFW/CFW and puts it in one container. See the Toolbox knows what drive you dumped and it shows it at the top after you read the drive and go to the CFW Generator in the Source/Base Firmware area
Then you choose a fileset, either original or custom, in the Destination/Target Firmware area.
Since the Toolbox knows what drive you dumped it searches the fileset to find the corresponding OFW or CFW for that drive so you don't have to. This is the part we are going to skip since we don't have the fileset.
I REALLY WANT YOU ALL TO SEE THAT ALL YOU ARE DOING W/O A FILESET IS BROWSING FOR A .BIN FILE, IT'S VERY EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ALSO WANT YOU TO UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE DOING. WE DUMP DRIVES TO GET THE KEY, RIGHT? BUT WHY?...TO PUT IT IN A CUSTOM FIRMWARE THAT PLAYS BACKUPS! SO THE SOURCE IS YOUR KEY THE TARGET IS A BLANK CFW THAT YOU ARE PUTTING YOUR KEY INTO. IT'S THAT SIMPLE.
Ok, on the advanced view tab it's the same as easy view with a few extra lines that you don't even need to mess with. The top part is the same Source/Base Firmware is where your dummy or source file goes(the one with your key) so click the load firmware fw button and browse for the dummy or source file you dumped, it will auto load if you just used the file get.
Next is the destination/target firmware section(this is the blank cfw that you insert your key in)
Now for this you need to download the iXtreme pack (http://hotfile.com/d...e_Pack.rar.html) This link will obviously change when updates come out but either jump in the maximuslizard IRC and ask, autoxbins, or our good friend Google. These packs are zipped, so extract them somewhere you can find them.
Now this is the part that confuses people but if you have some common sense you can figure it out I promise. You need to find the cfw bin that matches your drive since the fileset isn't there to do it for you. The problem is that the way they are named is kinda confusing, I personally think they could be named better but w/e. First of all when you extract them you get several folders but what you want is the "Firmware" folder ignore the 0800 and stock.
Everything says LTPlus so ignore that you are looking for the numbers after that.
For example if you have a Hitachi 59 use LTPlus-59-2.0 Hitachi 47 LTPlus-47-2.0(all PHAT Hitachis are the 32-79-4e10)
PHAT LiteOn's after dash 13146 are now 02510 so you would need the LTPlus-0251-v3.0...you see the trend in the naming yet? No?...Ok
Slim LiteOn 0272 is LTPlus-0272-v3.0, now there is 1 slim that may confuse you is the 0225/0225u the difference is on the case of the drive. If it says 0225 on the top then it's 0225 but if it says 9504 but the dummy ID's it as an 0225 it's an 0225u.
I hope that cleared up picking the target file, it's just a matching game.
There's only 2 things left now.
1-Click the "Copy data from Source to Destination" button on the right hand side. This is what takes your key and inserts it into the CFW
2-Click the "CFW Save as.." button
That's it you made the newest CFW w/o the fileset! It's easy and there is no reason to wait for the fileset if you don't want to.
Sorry for the rant I have explained that to a lot of people over the past few f/w updates

I was told it was cool to let this go public so enjoy.
Thanks goes to Nice69 for finding it, I made this video and the soon to come PDF. This isn't tried and true just yet. Some drives don't want to work with it, but it's probably just going to need an adjustment of the trimmer, so consider this testing and not a replacement for the Scorpion. I do not rely on it, but it is a cool little nugget of knowledge.
