I am in need of your help.

I have an XBOX that came back from Microsoft that has E49 (Corrupt KeyVault on DVD) and was wondering if there is any tool out there that will allow me to recover or rewrite the key based on the CPU KEY only, as the DVD key is no longer viable.

I am complete n00b, so please phrase your questions and information in an easy to understand format. I do not know if a Lizard would help me -- but it seems as though it might. People also talk about JungleFlasher and the Xecutor CK3i -- again, not sure what they do or if they will help.

Please advise.

Thanks.

They claim that the box was "modified" and will not reflash it pro-bono. They believe that a "refurbished" unit is "modded" to play pirated games. Here I am stuck with this piece of hardware.

Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it; hardware than can reflash the DVD Key back? I was hoping the Lizard would be able to...

Thanks.

Many thanks. I will grab a RGH and let you know how it goes. I had to steal the laser from the console to fix another one -- but its replacement should arrive soon too.

Many thanks.
