Hi there and first of all thank u for you time....

I did many jatgs and 2 rgh´s falcon without problems [boots like retail], easy and clean, but this is my 1st jasper and for what i´ve read those mobos are problematics whith that CB, I´ve got to say that i did the entire proccess without any problems, the box is glithing but i´m not happy with times of boot that comes randomly from 4 seconds to 1:30, did u guys known something to get more stability and fast boot?.....
I tried with a bunch of capacitors [valors of 1, 10 , 100] between the cpu reset and ground without any success, always glitch but still random in terms of time.
any hlp or suggestion will be apreciated

I´ve got the stinger on top of the video connector isolated but i´ve tried in other places with same result...
cpu_reset cable is 32 cm long
A_pad is grounded
16 Mb nand CB 6750

PD sorry for my bad english

sorry I forget to give u that important detail it´s a 16 Mb nand and the Cb is 6750.

thanks

only BB jaspers need a cap in CPU_RST line, the 16mb should never need it.

Try this:

add a 10ohm resistor, 1/8w in the CPU_RST line

thnks a lot.....vgcrepairs, I´ll try as soon as possible and I´ll let u know how it works, and thnks aswell for the advice about caps on BB jasper.
I´ll take out the capacitor from this jasper cos it doesn´t improve at all the boot times.

Hi there, I´ve got another jasper 16 cb 6750, I did the installation without any probs, and the behaviour is the same as the 1st one I did, boots always but with randomly times of boot...

I tried the 10 ohm resistor, 1/4w in the CPU_RST line ´cos in the electronic store didn´t have the 10 ohm resistor, 1/8w. I´ve got the same results, boots always but sometimes takes a long time to do it, I would like to get better results as far as possible, any suggestions....? Another glitcher will be better? I doubt it but u guys got more experience, so let me know.

Thnks in advance

MUST use 1/8 W

Also are you using the MAXIMUS Jed files - DO NOT use the random ones released ONLY use the Maximus files

also did you set the jumpers properly on stinger for a Jasper?

thnks a lot vgcrepairs for your hlp......
I take note of all that you reply, I will find the 10ohm resistor 1/8w whatever it takes.
I thought that should be the same stuff with the 1/4w resistor, my mistake, i´ll try to find out in 2 big electronic stores without success and the guys from the 2 shops told me it´s ok you´ll be fine [They lied to me for 10 cents XD]

I thought that the watt feature in the resistor tells you how much power the resistor can handle before it overloads and burns out, Am i wrong?
for your reply it means that I´m totally wrong and the resistor changes the capacities due to the 1/4 1/8 or 1/2 w info on the resistor.

the Stinger comes from the store already programmed for jasper so I can do anything about that except reprogram for more security with the maximus Jed files, but I don´t have a programmer so I Need to update the nandflasher or buy one. anyway I´ll ask to the suplier if they programmed the stinger with the proper files.

for the instalation i follow the diagrams and instructions on the page so i think it´s ok, always boot sometimes as fast as retail but sometimes it takes a lot of time (more often), if something i did was wrong the stinger will not glitch or have strange behaviours, [perhaps strange behaviours means random boot times X( ] so I´ll check everything again just to be sure and thnks a lot for your time

Hi again vcgrepairs, I got a Q.....
I did a complete search on a lot of big electronics stores and not so big ones and I must say that is hard to find the resistor you told me, nobody got it and they say 1/8 resistor 10 ohm are old, nobody uses it and crap like that....
only in two big electronics distributors got it in packs of 2000 resistors and in one of those are SMD, it´´s a big buy for me cos I only need a few, so I´m getting mad... and they told that I can´´t buy directly and ask for their resellers to buy it but they don´´t have it

Did u have another equivalent solution I can try?
Can I use a SMD resistor?
Can I use a 9,1 or 12 Ohmn resistor cos I find a few of this in a old and tiny electronics store?

I know you told me that it should be 10 ohm 1/8 W but i´´m getting desperate

Thnks in advance
