Hi,

I've literary spent hours and hours even days trying to RGH my Jasper 256 with CB6750. But it won't glitch.

  • I made my own JTAG cable so I'm 100% sure I programmed my CPLD correctly using iMPACT.
  • I generated the ecc myself using build.py and tried it with CD and CDjasper, and I used 360 Multi Builder v0.2 for the task (and I tested all these different ecc separately).
  • To connect the CPLD to the Jaspers mainboard I use 30AWG kynar wire. I used my multimeter to confirm that the CPLD is indeed getting power (3.3v) and all that is good.

But the result is the same every time: black screen and the power light stays on (it doesnt flash / flicker like in the youtube videos).

When I flash back the original NAND the Xbox 360 boots fine btw.

Can anyone tell me what the problem might be?

I made some pictures of my work:

B wire needs to be 32cm long

hard to tell but do you have the bottom of the glitcher insulated from the metal video port?

no blinking LED means:

1 - glticher is not programmed

2 - .ecc is not made or written correctly

if you used any of the gui's then I would say your .ecc file is not proper as I have tried all the current gui's and none of the have worked for me yet. I used the build.py (Edited to add 1BL Key) and python to create

CD is for slims only - which means you may have actually damaged the HANA on the console. Remove everything and flash to stock make sure console is still working

CDJasper is for the rest

Thanks for your response! To answer your question: yes I have it insulated the Glitcher with double sided tape. Also I have generated my ecc myself (by installing Python / Crypto and using the command line) and tried both CDjasper and CD. After that I have flashed back my fat with the original NAND and it still booted fine, so HANA is luckily not damaged. But good to know that CD is just for slims.

The connections on the chip for programming are pretty screwed up as you can see but that is because I soldered and desoldered my JTAG cable after every round of testing. Luckily I can use either alternative points or scratch the coating from the trace and still get it recognized properly in iMPACT and flash it accordingly. Also pad F came off in one of my desoldering sessions but luckily the alternative for that one is very easy to reach.

I just tried the Matrix Glitcher on my Slim console and there I have the exact same problem. I programmed the chip with the trinity.jed from the reset glitch hack v1.1 package.
  • First I installed the chip and kept wires as short as possible: no blinking light.
  • Then I installed a 270pF capacitor and extended wire length on pad A to approximately 30 cm (with a splice as suggested by ameel @ XBH): still no blinking light.

But I guess all that doesn't matter in the first place as the power light wont blink. Btw, when I test I connect my DVD drive, as not connecting a DVD drive will cause any Xbox 360's power light to blink.

I'm starting to think that my chip is defect, luckily I bought from a official reseller.

Is there anything else you can come up with that might be wrong or is it possible to test the chip somehow? I think I read somewhere that it's possible to connect a led to see when it's glitching? But I can't find anything about that anymore.

Pics from my slim install.

Using a JTAG cable and iMPACT. The chip gets recognized properly and iMPACT asks me to select the file that has to be programmed. I then select the proper file and right click the chip and click program. iMPACT start programming and 5 to 10 seconds later it's done.

Also when I check with 360gcProg v1.1 (when I click on the identify button) it shows me that the chip is programmed with the RGH Jasper v1.1 file.

So I'm 100% sure there is no problem with programming the chip.

I ordered a new chip, installed it without changing anything on the Xbox 360 itself (same wires and NAND) and it booted instantly.

Conclusion: the fucking Matrix Glitcher was DOA and I wasted 3 fucking days testing the piece of crap, so fucking frustrating that I did nothing wrong and had no possible way of knowing the damn thing was broken.
