I have a 360NandFlasher and updated it so it's NandPro 3 supported according to this tutorial.

I connected the Matrix Glicher as follows:

VCC --> M1
GND --> N3
TCK --> A2
TDO --> B3
TDI --> C1
TMS --> C2

Can I flash the Glicher with NandPro 3 via USB now?

you still need the external VCC (3.3v) and Ground connected in order to flash as decribed in the Matrix Glitcher manual

what would you suggest would be the best way to provide this?

also any ideas on easiest way to do multiple chips?

I thought that the Glitcher could use the 3.3v from the 360NandFlasher like this (VCC is connected to M1). Do I also need to power it seperately? Should I connect a power source to the other Vcc and GND?

For example the 360 Xtractor Pro (is this a correct setup?):

Also the tutorial refers to Xilinx lab tools, as iMPACT seems to be necessary to program the Glitcher (and not NandPro 3?). I'm currently in a 30 day evaluation so does that mean I can only program Xilinx chips for 30 days?

you can use impact to convert the jeb files to xsvf files and then use nandpro 3.0 to flash these files and no longer need impact. could you convert them all and upload them to make it easier please.

Well I've been messing around with iMPACT and I think I found out how to convert jed's into xsvf's and did so for all jed files in the reset_glitch_hack_v1.1 file. I'm willing to upload and post them all but only if that's allowed on this forum.

Other than the fact that I'm still not sure if I connected my Matrix Glitcher correctly in the previous picture (can anyone confirm please?) I'm also having problems with installing my NandPro3 updated 360NandFlasher under Windows 7 x64. The NandPro3 readme says to point Windows to custom.inf for drivers but Windows reports that no drivers were found if I target the NandPro3 dir.

the custom.inf is in the nandpro 3.0 files and works perfect on win 7 64 bit

this is the proper way to connect

Thanks for confirming that!

Back there I tried installing the driver the wrong way, but this is the error I'm getting (and I even disabled "driver signature enforcement"):

I tried the drivers from NandPro 2.0e and those installed fine, I also read out an Xbox 360 NAND that way but I'm not sure if they work with programming the Matrix Glitcher too. Btw, I was able to install the drivers on a XP machine.

Anyways, as you can see in the image below I flashed the ecc file to the NAND. After that I hooked up the Glticher (without the Xtractor as power source) and tried flashing the xsvf file I generated with iMPACT and NandPro3 gave a success message ("Successfully executed file"):

Now I can't be sure that is the chip is programmed correctly because:
  • I don't know if the xsvf file is generated correctly
  • I didn't hook up the chip with an external power source
  • I don't know if the correct drivers are installed for my NandFlasher
As I hooked up the glitcher according to the diagram on infinitymod.com and I don't get into Xell I assume one of those things is wrong.

I will try programming the chip WITH a power source on my XP machine where the correct drivers are installed. So I can be sure at least issues 2 & 3 are eliminated.

[Edit]
Nvm I didn't install the drivers from NandPro2.0e (the custom.inf file bundled with NandPro2.0e gives the same error as the one with NandPro3) but it looks like I once downloaded extra x64 drivers and placed them in my NandPro2.0e folder (the driver folder is called NandPro_driver_w32_x64 and the inf file is called "nandPro_xflasher.inf".

Hay. Nice thead. Its helping alot for connecting the flasher etc.

Sorry to ask this probably stupid question, but which file do i flash onto the nandflasher to give it nandpro v3 support?
is it ArmV3.hex? or as per the PDF c:\nandpro20e\xspiflash.hex?

You have to flash ArmV3.hex to the nandflasher.

Thanks. That just confirms what i already though to be the case. I will update my nandflasher ready for my matrix which should arrive later in the week.
Are you able to upload your xslf files somewhere and post a link? Otherwise i can host them for you and give you a link if you would email me them. Otherwise im sure i can probably create my own. Not tried yet.

I'm not sure whether my xsvf files are correct, that's why I'll be making a JTAG cable later this week so I can actually connect to the Matrix in iMPACT.

The files: http://www.multiupload.com/3PVLOGUU7B

Let me know if they work for you.

I know the trinity.xsvf works. I compared to the one included in nandpro 3 and it has the same MD5. So if you used the same method for all of them then they will also be correct. Thanks for posting, btw.

DO NOT - I REPEAT DO NOT USE THE .JED FILES OUT THERE - ONLY USE THE MAXIMUS .JED OR .XSVF FILES !!!!!!!!!

WE TOOK THE TIME AND ACTUALLY CLEANED THE CODE

also if you slow to Glitch - GND the "A" point !!

other helps:
Problem: Console acts like dead after stinger install:
This is commonly caused by a problem on the stdby_clk line here is the suggested path to try to fix:
a) Check jumpers on stinger are set properly for slim or phat
:cool: remove stinger and test if problem persist
c) if problem persists try resolder both sides of the tiny resistor on the stdby_clk line

Problem: All installed but stinger led goes green barely visible
This is commonly caused by poor ground, try the following:
If its a SLIM console:
a) Install an extra ground wire on the Stinger "A" pad and the J3C1-Pin6
If its a phat console:
a) Install an extra ground wire on the Stinger "A" pad and the J2B1-Pin12
Problem: On slim console led goes on visible every 3 seconds but I cant make the console boot
Assuming you have generated and flashed properly the .ecc file then the problem could be solved by:
a) Set the jumper J270 to select 270pf capacitor
:cool: Change CPU_RESET (pad p40 on stinger) to a 32 cms wire
c) Change the STBY_CLK (pad C on stinger) to a 10 cms wire

This thread is about the Matrix Glitcher. Do you recommend using the maximus jed files for these as well?

nm I found them files.
