hi guys,
noob here.

i have a Liteon 74850C phat with an old CFW on it.
ive updated to the new dash by accident and want to play games again so i bought the lizard.

anyway, i failed at the first step and need help.

i followed the tutorial and wired it all up correctly with no power, but as soon as i turned on the power there was no light on my scorpion and there was a very faint burning smell from the drives where you connect the probes.

i got scared and turned it all off....... and tried again 30 minutes later!
same thing. i got scared again.

i put my xbox back together and it tested it with my original games and they work fine, the discs are all read fine. its weird.

as im a noob i just wanted some advice on what i could/should do next?

im kinda scared to proceed, is this weird smell normal? and why is there no light on my scorpion lighting up?

EDIT-
my eject button on my drive ejects the tray but now it doesnt go back in, i have to push it make the mechanism take it back in.
man! why me?!!!!!! i can live with this if the flash works. just didnt want to have to buy a new xbox just yet.

edit. oh shit. ive just realised that might not be correct, ive just found a different guide saying i need to connect red to the big one at the bottom!
ok, how bad do you think the damage is?

I Flashed a Lite On the same way and worked fine. Make sure the B and R clamps are attached properly other wise you will also do what I did and your lizard will BURN BABY BURN AN SMOKE UP LIKE A MOTHER F#%KER!!
