I am trying to setup my 360 Lizard on my laptop.. I followed the instructions (installing Net Framework etc..) My computer recognizes the Lizard in COM4 but when I hit get device details it gives me the READ RESPONSE FAIL.. I have been through the manual and have moved the switch and still nothing works.. Has anyone else had this problem?? Can I use it with my laptop?
Also I am running Windows 7 64 bit
Thanks

Was the Lizard plugged in ? also did you update the firmware ? What I did is I plugged in my Lizard, opened Lizard ToolBox, click get device details it detected my Lizard and turned Burst Mode on.

How do I update the firmware? Doesn't "get device details" need to work first before I can update anything?

Plug your Lizard in holding the up and down buttons down, open the firmware updater, hit connect, download updates, download both the get file and get flash store them somewhere on your computer, then hit flash device find the first 1 (get file update) open it and it will install it, once its done hit exit bootloader, lizard should restart, click on flash update tab, hit flash device find the 2nd file (get flash) open it and it will install it and your good to go. Get device details is in the Lizard Toolbox, you have to use the firmware updater to update the firmware on the Lizard. They should have a video showing how to do this.

Thanks for helping me through this Skywalker-
My computer is having a problem recognizing that my Lizard is connected to my notebook- I have automatically installed the FTDI drivers and manually done this as well like it says in the Manual 1.4 (found on page 2)... I bootloader my device next I say connect in the firmware updater then it says "no compatible device detected....etc"
not sure what else to try - it just doesnt seem like my computer is communicating with the Lizard

If its recognized in COM4 then set it to COM4, and the only difference I see from mine is my BAUD rate is set to 115200, it says on the main website if you experience issues change your system language to English, and you can also try the 1.0.5 BETA updater. Another thing I ALWAYS do is run as administrator, did you do this ?

not sure what you mean by change system language to English...? i have tried setting the COM to different ports and testing all the other BAUD rates and still nothing.. tried the newest updater and still didn't work. I will just have to try it on another computer. I also had tried the ADMINISTRATOR mode....

you shouldn't have had to install net framework if your using windows 7 64 bit (i didnt and that is what i am running) try uninstalling it and run windows update to install the one from there. there could have been a problem with the framework install

On my home PC with Windows 7 x64 I didn't instal the net framework and still got the same errors.. LizardUpdater always gave me an error of ERR: 1-K, B-2... So I tried running it through a virtual machine running XP 32 bit and still gave me the same error.
Next I dug out my old school laptop with Windows XP 32 bit and installed all the necessary stuff and still gave me the same errors- talked to a couple mods and they believe that it could be a soldering issue so I am shipping it back today to have it looked at......
