Hi all, only new but have a couple of questiions. I have flashed a few drives (Benq's and Hitachi 79's) so i understand the principal of flashing. I bought Xtractor 360 pro and Vampire 1 to read key from a liteon 93450c drive. Followed the tutorials to the letter. Made trace cuts as described but seem to be having problems with continuity. Checked with analogue multimeter between points ( common sense to check breaks are broken )but still get a reading. My trace cuts are clearly broken through but is something possibly "feeding back" thru the components on the board. I spoke to my father who is electronics savy and he had a look at tutorial and pics etc. Checked trace cuts and all seems ok but still get reading on meter. ANY IDEAS ???

Tried one of the drives with vampire anyway and trying vendor mode it flashes blue for a split second then goes green( on the Vampire )

Is this due to the trace cuts being faulty?

Any help would be appreciated as i hate these things to beat me.

Thanks in advance

erither your 3 cuts are not actually cut or you have grounded a trace

Did you solder int he one wire needed?

I have used the three trace cut with jumper wire and also two trace cut methods. My cuts are quite deep, enough to clearly see that the trace is broken. How can you ground a trace?? any more ideas??
Greatly appreciated
