Hi Everyone.

I have a lot time flashing Xbox´s. I have a MaximusVampire,
Last Weekend I have lost 5 Liteon Drives.

Some Drives work and some not. From that bulk, 5 are dead. I think the vampire has a shortcircuit . It turns on the light when the Maximus Board is off.

Well now my problem is, what can i do to restore the drives and read the Key from the drives. I connect eveything with a home extractor, into a new drives and everything is ok, but with this 5 drives, i cannot do anythig.
The jungle flasher doesnt detect them, I turn on or off the Maximus board, and the status never changes. it is on 0x7F. it doesnt move from there....
I think there is a shortcircuit on the pcb or something that is not transfering to the sata cable.
When I restore the drive, also doesnt is detected by the xbox, the green center ligth is flashing-.

please. if someone can help me. what can i do.

thanks in advance,.

JF wont see them at all until they are in status 0x072 !!

Are you cutting the traces? Using rebuild board? linking the one wire if not using rebuild boards?

Pictures help too

Hi VGC thanks for answering us. We have bougth the vampire and maximus board with you.

We have flashed mora than 500 drives. this problem is not for cuting, rebuilding, etc..

Always if you connect the drive to sata and put intro device id on JF it sys status 0x7f and when you turns the drive on (gives energy with the maximus board) status changes to 0x51.

Well with this 5 drives, it doesnt changes. it stays on 0x7F. we dont know if something blow up. If there is something receiving bad energy, if the problem is from data from the sata interface.

we can send you pictures, but there is not a problem of cutting, or rebuilding.

thanks 4 all !!

and we hope you can save us !

are you using Vampire or Vampire 2 ?

On vampire 2 is you are getting 0x051 error on the front of it is a jumper pad, solder across those which lower resistor and try again.

I have had a few stubborn 9xxxx drives, using vmapire you have to make sure you scrape some of the conformal coating fromt he via holes to make sure the spear is making connection properly

If you rebuild the cuts do the drives still work?

Sorry, I missed that your saying the vampire light is on when the xtractor is powered off ???? do oyu have an xtractor 1 or 2 ?

Hi again.

the extractor is 1.2 version and vampire 1.0 - I have now too the 360 Power Unit (Dongle) that im using to flash with home made extractor.

but my problem is other. the drive doestn change status on JF. not 0x51 not 0x80 only 0x7F - it never changes. is like the drive isnt connected.
if I rebuild the board, the xbox 360 flash the center light. like the drive is not there.

I'm in Argentina !! in South America.
I'm here with a technical specialist investigating and comparing this drives, with some that work great.
We have found a capacitor that has different values (capacitor J226 - 692 in working drives, 749 in not working)
im attaching a picture of it. we will change it asap, to know if this is the problem.
